Here we are with some updates.

Lace lost most of her undercoat and she looks sligltly smaller, however I am preatty sure she gained some weight because the belly is fattier; She is eating more that when she arrieved and although she is not extremely fussy, there are some foods that she likes more than others.

Treats... we got those "minibites Temptations"... and she just goes CRAZY, to the extend that whenever she can she will steal the whole box and run away! To avoid her becoming adicted we limit the treats only after the grooming sessions and i think that this made helped me to convince her that Grooming is "the most amazing treatment she can have" , in particular when she get her treats at the end.

Now whenever we have a visitor/s instead of hiding or being nervous or being suspitious, SHE WILL DEMAND their attention and SHE WILL MAKE SURE she is the subject of the discussion for as long as it lasts their visit;

Cristina and I are sometimes lost for words because of the wonderful character she is developing; she is extremely aware of her surroundings and, as long as she is in HER HOUSE, all what come in (things or people) becomes basically HER property.

I have to say that there is no day that Cristina and I comment on the fact that Lace is the most affectioned and wonderful cat we could end with; She follows us everywere, she interacts with as the same way (actually more) as a dog wold do and it is apparent to us that she is not afraid of anything provided that we are around.

One exhample that explains it all: THE HOOVER.

In any house/family I know the hoovering process has always been extremely traumatic for dogs and cats... Lace, she just really does not care at the point that she will follow me through the house all the time, supervising that I do a good job, I guess...

Is funny to see her when I work, she will be always around making sure that I do things properly, I clean well when I finish.. basically she is becoming a VERY good "quality control manager".

Here are few pics I took last week:

This is she supervising my collegue's work and questioning his filing methods

Here she is checking the packaging process
Image

Here she is verifying the quality of the incoming goods
Image

here she is waiting for more goods to arrive (they are late!!)
Image

Here is she in the garden exploring the surroundings... it is still too early to leave her alone so we take her out with the leash and although we notice that she like to go out, at the end she prefers to stay inside the house

Last, her beautiful , hypnotic eyes...

another couple of months have passed by and Lace is doing great.

Lace is definitely well settled here with us and has turned into a very affectionate, loving cat, always seeking our company. In the morning she's very active and very much enjoying the garden, where she now goes regularly.

She was a little uneasy about it at the beginning, but as she had been living in a pen for most part of her life, I was not surprised. Now she is quite confident and she has been hunting butterflies all summer, birdwatching, and generally everything that moves catches her attention and need to be investigated.

In the afternoon she loves hiding under her favourite bushes, especially when it's hot. We have to keep the door open, though, as we found out that if it's closed, she immediately comes back and asks to get in.

She clearly doesn't like to be left alone or excluded, and although she spends time by herself, she regularly comes back into the house to check that we are still there.

She is incredibly curious and when the weather is bad, she often sits either in the baywindow of the study
downstairs or in my bedroom upstairs to watch the world go by.

When she's in the study and sees somebody coming towards the front door, she quickly runs to it to welcome the stranger, she never showed to be afraid of people.

She is very sweet and well behaved, and although sometimes she will let you know when she had enough, she has never showed aggression.

We have been very lucky wih Lace and we are impressed by how quickly she learns.

Here are few pictures taken a couple of weeks ago:

AH ! Lace has become the queen of the castle. KT)

owns everything and everybody is at her service. :shock: :BG

we were afraid that during Christmas she would be upset with parents coming and going , children running around the house , chaos and maihem.... well she slept the WHOLE TIME on the couch, she was so quiet I had to check if she was still alive!!!!!!! ag) ag)

Now we discovered she loves watching TV, im particular the LION MAN and LIFE. :SML

Whenever there is an animal on TV , birds in particular, she runs and sits in front of the screen and she stays there for the whole program;

Whatever we do she is always around one of us, either enjoing some relax or supervising whatever we are doing... but when 4PM strike, well it is sleeping time and usually the couch is the place for her afternoon nap, unless there is someone on the couch in which case that some one WILL BECOME THE COUCH. :shock: :lol: :lol: :mrgreen:

she is just incredible, we just love her to bits and there isn't a day without surprises from her. :HG

Here are some pictures I shot in the last 4-6weeks: :WK
